עקב פעילות הפולשים ותהליך החרבה בלתי פוסקת, ערי אוקראינה מאבדות את אופיין הייחודי, מורשתן ארוכת ימים התרבותית ואת יופיין. חלק מהאזורים והערים נהרסים וריקים כיוון שהם כבר אינם מתאימים למגורי אדם. חלק מהם כבושים והאויב כופה על תושבי אזורים אלו את הערכים הזרים להם.
התערוכה The War Map מראה את האופי הייחודי של הערים הללו דרך היצירות של האמנים המודרניים מאוקראינה ודרך סדרת ההדפסות המוקדשת לכל אחד מהאזורים האלו.
אמנים אלו מציגים את עבודותיהם בארץ לראשונה. חלק מהיצירות נותנות את האפשרות להציץ בעריה של אוקראינה ולראות את חיי העיר שקדמו למלחמה. דרך ההצצה הזו ניתן להכיר את תושביהן ואת האתרים המקומיים. החלק האחר, (הפחות אוטופי) משקף את זוועות החורבן. החיים המאוזנים של הערים מתקיימים במקביל להרס ולהשמדה.
זאת כבר התערוכה השלישית במסגרת פרויקט צדקה WithDraw The War שמכיר לישראלים את האמנות האוקראינית. ופועל לעזרתה של אוקראינה להילחם בפלישה הרוסית. אי לכך, 100% מהכספים שיגויסו בתערוכה עתידים להיתרם לקופות צדקה אוקראיניות.

The War Map

On February 24, 2022 the Russian-Ukrainian war, which began in 2014, entered the phase of a full-scale military invasion. It is possible to watch from the screens in real time how the front line changes and the definition of the country's map turns into a dynamic mechanism, illustrating the endless struggle of Ukrainians for the freedom, independence and integrity of their borders. The War Map exhibition is focused on 10 regions of the frontline zones of Ukraine bordering Russia and most affected by invasion of Russian soldiers – Mykolaiv, Kherson, Zaporozhye, Donetsk, Lugansk, Kharkiv, Sumy, Chernihiv, Kyiv and Crimea peninsula. Due to the actions of occupiers and destruction, Ukrainian cities are losing their identity, cultural heritage and beauty.  Many districts and cities are destroyed and empty, because they are no longer receptive to life, and some are occupied and the enemy forcibly imposes an environment and values that are not characteristic of them. The War Map  exhibition reveals the character of these cities through the work of Ukrainian contemporary artists and a series of textile prints dedicated to each region
The artists presented at the exhibition are exhibited in Israel for the first time, all of them from different parts of Ukraine and now continue to record the events and pain of this war.  Some of the works also provide an opportunity to look into Ukrainian cities before the war, get to know the locals and outstanding local places, and some convey the horror of destruction.  The life and balance of cities coexist side by side with annihilation and destruction

This is the third exhibition of the charity project WithDraw The War, which promotes Ukrainian art in Israel and aims to help Ukraine in the fight against Russian aggression, directing 100% of the funds to the funds of Ukraine
