התערוכה "עקבות הזמן" יוצאת מנקודת המוצא של אריחי מלט מצוירים בעבודת יד, חפץ צנוע אך עמיד, הנושא בחובו שכבות של היסטוריה, מלאכת יד ותרבות. האריחים הצבעוניים שיוצרו במפעל גלוסקא, בראשית המאה ה-20, מספרים סיפור של נדידה והסתגלות, מפגש בין מוטיבים מזרחיים לעיצוב אירופאי, של בעלי מלאכה שהטמיעו את רוח המקום בחומר.

התערוכה מאגדת אמנים ומעצבים המגיבים למורשת זו באמצעות דיסציפלינות שונות של מיצב, צילום, ציור, קרמיקה וטקסטיל. עבודותיהם בוחנות מחדש את שפת העיטור, החומר והחזרתיות, ומבקרות מה אנו יורשים בחיינו ומה אנו בוחרים לחדש. בדיאלוג עם האריחים ההיסטוריים, הם חוקרים את המשמעויות השונות של עבודה, את הפוליטיקה של שימור ואת הקיימות הגלומה במעשים של תיקון וזיכרון.

"עקבות הזמן" אינה עוסקת רק במה שנבנה, אלא גם במה שנותר – בטביעות ידיים, בדפוסי חיים ובשברי זיכרון קולקטיבי שמעצבים את תחושת המקום שלנו. בין עבר להווה, בין קביעות לשבריריות, היא מזמינה התבוננות על מחזורי היצירה והפירוק שמגדירים הן את האמנות והן את החיים עצמם.

The exhibition Traces of Time takes the handmade cement tile as its point of departure, a modest yet enduring artifact that encapsulates layers of history, craftsmanship, and cultural exchange. Originating in the early 20th century, the colorful tiles of the Gluska Factory tell a story of migration and adaptation: of Eastern motifs meeting
European design, of artisans who embedded the spirit of place into matter

The exhibition brings together artists and designers who respond to this heritage through diverse media, installation, photography, painting, ceramics, and textile. Their works revisit the languages of ornament, material, and repetition, questioning what we inherit and what we choose to renew. In dialogue with the historical tiles, they explore the shifting meanings of labor, the politics of preservation, and the sustainability embedded in acts of repair and remembrance.

Traces of Time is not only about what has been built, but about what remains, the imprints of hands, patterns of life, and fragments of collective memory that shape our sense of place. Between past and present, permanence and fragility, it invites reflection on the cycles of making and unmaking that define both art and living.
